Aqua gloves? Or similar full length gloves...

Which kind do you have and where did you get them? Price?

I saw them on Amazon and was considering it - mostly because my skin is very sensitive and I can see how all of this water changing/cleaning stuff is really making it worse. I normally wear gloves for other cleaning but the household kind are not long enough...

Suggestions? The Aqua gloves look cool but I was hoping for something more thinner - they seemed kinda bulky to me ?????

Thanks in advance!

Good morning,

I have the gloves in the link above just in case I get a bad cut on my hands. I tried them on and you really can't feel anything at all so they are a bit difficult to use. Better safe than sorry though!

I got them for FREE during a special sale, buy so much and get the gloves for free.

These look like they may be a bit thinner but I can't say for certain:

Thanks Ken. I saw both links and am still deciding which one is better for me. I noticed that the one from drfostersmith had different sizes which is a plus ( small hands ) so I may go with those.
Thanks for the info!

I personally don't wear any gloves If I have really BAD open wounds I just won't reach into my tanks for a day or two.

No wounds just really super dry hands that get worse with water. Besides, I kind of have the "ick" factor cleaning tanks

I have the same ones ken has. I have to agree, they are hard to use as you can't feel what you are doing.

Good morning,

Should you decide on the gloves in the link posted by emt above, make sure there is NO POWDER.

I am going to check a few lfs before I buy online. I didn't notice any at petco or petsmart but I will check again. I'd rather get them locally so if I need to return them, it will be easier.
Thanks!

Do you have a garden supply that has tools for ponds near you? You might be able to find some there and try them before you buy.

I checked a few local places but they are all too short - need the kind that go up to the shoulders..... I may check again some other places like Ace or OSH. Thanks for the suggestion!

Will do - the question now is "which" one lol
Hope I can find some in a local store to comparison shop.

Just got my gloves today. I saw them for awhile at the lfs but I put off buying them. Today when I went in there, the guy let me test drive them in his tank and although they only came in one size, the gloves itself were pretty comfortable and durable. He told me he uses them daily for cleaning his coral stuff ( this store is mainly salt water ) and has never had them rip. Good enough for me!

I can't wait to try them - I will have to wait a few weeks though to let you know how it goes - just did a water change a few days go.

They were kind of expensive but I figure by the time I add tax and shipping, it comes out to about the same price as online.
