Does anyone know how to read these thermometers? Packaging says green is the temp. But the closest shade of green reads 80 degrees. My tank does not have a heater so this doesn't make sense.

Mine is really inaccurate. I would recommend getting a thermometer to stick in the tank. You can pick one up for less than $5. Sorry I couldn’t help.

I only got this since it was so chea and wanted to know what temp my tank would sit at to know if I would need a heater because my house stays at 79 degrees

79 degress is hot! Yeah, in my research no thermometer works really well, at least for a long period. I just use the couple dollar in tank glass thermometers.

California weather bud. 79 compared to outside feels very cool lol. Yeah the stick on shows the same temp as the thermometer that runs my a/c so I don't know if it's just measuring room temp or the actual water temp.
