aqua clear filter

I see all this hype about aqua clear filters. I have a 10 gal tank I want a new filter for. does fluval make aqua clear or should I say is the fluvial aqua clear what everyone is talking about? I was thinking that fluvial aqua clear or the fluvial c2

 

I think Fluval bought out Hagen which makes AquaClears. I have two AquaClears on my tank and like them a lot! I don't have any experience with the Fluval C series though.

 

Update: fluval aqua clear says right on the packaging formerly aquaclear. at petco

 

correct...the C2 is the updated version of the former aqua clear....I went with a C4 on my 36 gallon and I love it! allows for easier cleaning in my opinion

 

I've used both an AquaClear and a C4, and I liked the C4 just a tad better. There's nothing wrong with the AquaClear, though. They both allow you to adjust the filter flow and to customize your filter media more easily, which I think are the major benefits of these filters.
