Apparently Aquatic Insect?

    Found these flies (1 pair of wings for sure) on some algae I've been growing. They seem to be at least semi-aquatic.

    The males look like ordinary gnats, females look like ordinary gnats with a grain of rice for an abdomen. Weird.

    No larva were found. Eggs are the masses of little black dots. Anyone know what they are?
