API vs Top-Fin?

Not sure how to make a new poll so I'll just ask.

Do you prefer API or Top-Fin Products?

Do you think one is of higher quality?

Is there another brand you trust?

 

I would trust almost any product over Top Fin.

What type of item ( heater, filter, tanks) are you looking at?

 

I have a top-fin 30 filter on my 29 gla. and it works okay, but I would go with a penguin or emporer filter
as for chemicals, apI is one of my favs, but I haven't tried any top-fin chemicals

I was thinking of mainly chemicals/treatments/conditioners in this case.

Or require salts? Stress coat, algae growth, pH modification, etc?

 

I agree with Dino and so far, i've been mostly happy with API products. but we use Seachem's "Prime" product for our water treatment and most of our meds are from Kordon/Novalek or Jungle, although we do like API's triple sulfa.

 

We use API products...never heard of Top fin tho.
HAGEN/Nutrafin...is our main brand in our city.

np.. that's our fav. place to get fish supplies.. it was especially helpful when we lived in a town with just 1 deathco. paying less and denying deathco our business were both great reasons to shop there.. plus they ship fedex so not every package was used for football practice like with ups.
