Api Tap Water Conditioner Or Seachem Prime

I am setting up my aquarium now. I have API tap water conditioner. But some people suggesting seachem prime is better. So I am confused now.

I am starting my nitrogen cycling today. I am afraid if I am not treated my tap water well, the chlorine and chloramine will ruin my cycling process.

Please suggest me prime or API tap water conditioner better?..

I have API tap water conditioner right now with me. Can I go ahead with API?

If prime is better then I need to buy it before starting my cycling process.

I use the API to clear chlorine from my tap water.

I use SeamChem Prime for my tap water conditioner because you don't have to use as much per gallon and it also neutralizes ammonia and nitrites up to 1ppm if you are doing a fish in cycle. Or if your water has those in it

API water conditioner and prime will remove chlorine, but prime does more, it also neutralizes ammonia and nitrate for 24 hours. To answer your question prime is better.

It looks like it's a first generation water conditioner:

I wouldn't recommend it if your tap water has chloramine.

You can start your cycle with API! No need to wait until you can get prime.

I use API Water Conditioner to de-chlorinate my tap water. I have Prime (As everyone should) but I only use it to bind ammonia and nitrite.
