API or Flourish tabs?

Hi,

I was wondering if I should switch to API tabs. I have been using Flourish root tabs in my gravel substrate for awhile now, but have noticed iron and potassium deficiencies in my crypts. I have jungle val, crypt wendtii, dwarf lily, water lettuce, and a tiny java fern. I use easy green for liquid ferts.

I heard somewhere that API tabs have more iron and potassium, but are there a bunch of drawbacks with API compared to flourish tabs?
Thanks!

Did you have crypts? I guess I'm saying that Seachem Flourish tabs aren't sufficient, as some of my crypts are turning yellow, and many have pinholes. I'm just wondering if API tabs might be better (since they have more potassium and more iron in them than the Seachem Flourish tabs). I don't really want to switch out my gravel for the nutrient-rich stuff.

Do you dose with an all in one fert as well such as Nilog Thrive? there is debate that root tabs aren't necessary if your dosing the water column but from what i've researched and seen is plants with root tabs will still grow a bit better than those that aren't fed the root tabs. I've had great luck growing plants with Nilog Thrive all in one fert and Flourish root tabs... But i'm down to about 3 of them and considering switching to Nilog root tabs as well.

I use API root tabs and have crypts. They are doing really well with the tabs, and I dose Flourish liquid fert as well.

Yeah I use 'Easy Green' (which is an all-in-one liquid fert). I use root tabs because--supposedly--jungle val and crypts are 'root feeders'. I'll check out Nilog root tabs. I might also try doing Flourish tabs and then break API root tabs in half and just use a little bit, just so I don't over fertilize things.
