How do you do the api kh/gh test kit
Add a drop. Check to see if the color changes. Repeat until it changes color. The number of drops it takes to change, represents the degrees of hardness. 5 drops to change color, 5* of hardness

It took 4 for kh and 3 for gh

Ok since it took 4 drops for kh and 3 for gh does that mean my kh is4 and my gh is 3?

It means they are close to those numbers. Test isn't really super precise

Which mean 71.6 PPM KH and 53.7 GH PPM and here is the chart.

Further.
The way KH and GH are written can be in two scales . One is ppm parts per million and the other is the German scale in degrees. Like two separate languages.

This GH chart has both languages/ scales written one on top of the other.

You can see 53.7 ppm is roughly 3 degrees/ German.
