Api Fungus Cure In Nano Tank

I have an African Dwarf Frog that has a fungus infection. Right now I have him in an unfiltered 3.5g quarantine tank with a heater and air stone. I put in 1/4 of a packet of API fungus cure, since the packets size are for 10. The instructions say to remove the filter and add aeration, then add directly in and add another dose after 48 hours, wait another 48 before doing a 25% water change. I obviously can’t do that with a tank this small and his water needs to be clean. Should I do daily water changes and just redose when I do or still wait 48 hours? Or something else? I’m using Prime so I hope that doesn’t interfere with it.

I’m going to have to do a water change tonight so any input would be appreciated. I can’t find anything just doing google searches.

maybe split the time and wc amount? or maybe just the wc amount? like do 15% water changes daily and then dose normally. tbh I don't think 25% daily water changes will remove much of the medicine in the tank, but i'm not an expert.

They don't want you to remove the filter, they want you to remove the carbon, since carbon will remove the meds from the water. So you can (and should) treat in a filtered tank.

I actually don't have a spare for that tank anyway. How do you remove the carbon anyway? Isn't that the filter cartage itself?

In many filters there is a cartridge that has floss stretched over a plastic frame. Encapsulated inside the cartridge is carbon. So you need to cut a slit in the floss and dump out the carbon.
