Most fish eat anything they can get in their mouth, but personalities of each fish are different. Perhaps some guppies enjoy their equivalent to a salad.

Mine love em.

We originally bought the algae wafers for the little pleco we brought home and the catfish, but we had to start dropping 2-3 wafers though because the guppies were tearing into em before they hit the gravel bed.

That's strange... I dropped one in earlier for my little pleco, and they totally ignored it.
Are they not too big for guppies?

They are big for em, ya, but when they hit water they start to soften up and it's like a feeding frenzy around one at that time.

Mine's still lying on the bottom... Even the pleco hasn't touched it. I'm starting to worry now - some of my new fish still haven't eaten.

our guppies seem to ignore the algae wafers. they're not half the pigs that our platys are.
