Hello. I'm giving my 10 gallon a new natural look and ordered 3 pieces of cholla with 2 live plants....curious of opinions. It says it's been soaked etc but I'm thinking of boiling anyway. I've read good and bad things online so any advice?

Yes boil it. I love Chola Wood. I have some in a 5 gallon with Java fern in the holes. They are also great for Plecos. I have some in my 55 for my Pleco's digestive system.

    Thank you!

Depends how much tannins you want in the water. I boiled mine until it the water came out clear, but you could stop when the water turns a very light shade of brown.
