40 Gallon Tank Anyone Use A Marco Stand?

Hey! I’m currently in the process of upgrading my 29 community tank to a 40 breeder tank. The last thing I need is a stand. I’m considering DIYing a stand but have limited tools. I’m open to buying a stand but the one from petco all the reviews say it’s unlevel...not okay for a tank stand!

Anyways, I’m considering getting this stand Marco 50-65 Gallon Upright Aquarium Stand | fish Aquarium Stands from petsmart because it has similar dimensions to a 40 breeder (36x18). Has anyone used this stand or the other sizes and have any comments?

Thanks!

TL;DR: any reviews of this stand?

I have this stand for my 55. It was pretty straight forward to put it together and is okay quality. It feels like treated particleboard which isn’t the best but that tank has been on it for 3 years and haven’t had issues so its not bad for a budget stand. Personally, if I had the diy skills and the space, I’d build my own.

If you're not afraid of the DIY part, you could probably buy/borrow the necessary tools and still be money ahead at the end of the project. A hand saw, a drill, and a screwdriver would be most of what you'd need. Shop carefully and $40 should cover it. And then you've got tools at the end of the project. Home Depot also rents tools. No idea about cost on that.

Thanks for the replies! I’ll look more into the DIY stuff with this stand as a backup

Yeah that’s true, and the tools can be re used for other things
