Hi, so over the past few days 1 of my cherry barbs seems to be ill (pic) ... I have a shoal of 7 but he seems to have distance himself from the pack .. his body is slightly curved and he stays the opposite side of the tank - he is eating tho. Anyone know?

    Ammonia 00.00
    Nitrite 00.00
    Nitrate 10

    Thanks in advance.

Will this affect the other fish ? Does he need to come out ASAP?

I don't believe so, my glofish tetras had this wasting problem, and the infected ones became smaller and smaller until they were unable to behave normally.

Can it be helped? I've never seen it and am curious. The poor little guy.

I doubt it. I think Wasting disease is a condition (like Dropsy) and can be caused by several issues (bacterial, viral, parasital) I'd remove and euthanise it (sorry). That prevents any possible contamination (by being eaten after dieing for instance)
