Female Corys are fatter and stockier looking while the male is more slim. If you can look down on them their shape is more apparent.

Males have a pointed dorsal fin, females don't.
Females have rounder bellies than males.

Usually I keep a group of 5 or 6 of the same type together in a tank alone, feed them blood worms, shrimp pellets and foods high in protein for about 3 0r 4 days. Then do a huge (50%) water change with water about 3 degrees cooler than the water they are currently in. If they are old enought to spawn they will become very active(within the next day) almost hyperactive. Then they will start laying eggs on the tank glass and leaves of plants. After they finish laying eggs the adults need to be removed.

Oh my goodness, I just bought 3 Pygmy Cories and realize that if this is the way you tell the sex of the little ones, I have a male and 2 females. Holy smokes!!!!
