Anyone into Gymnastics?

Just wondering if I'm the only one here that likes gymnastics?

I am a HUGE womens gymnastics nerd for some odd reason. I literally watch all the Championships and Cups or any major competitions that happen yearly. They can be up to 2 to 3 hours as well.

It's just so interesting. I know most of all the names of the skills/moves they do on each event, I watch it that much. As much gymnastics as I watch I could be a judge (lol jk). But for real I find myself critiquing someone when they start to tumble, it's just a habit of mine now.

I love keeping up with the women of the US. Kyla Ross was not playing after the Olympics and starting training right away. She has won All-Around events lately which is awesome (Except at the past P&G National Championships where she won second). Simone Biles is starting to rise into the competition, I hope she goes far. Mckayla Maroney is doing great on floor and vault routines (Like always). I'm not sure where Katelyn OhashI went though, she was a great performer.

I'd love to see the following on the Rio Team: Kyla, Gabby, Mckayla, Jordyn and Simone. I'm not sure if the fierce five will be able to make it again, though. 4 years and a huge age jump from who usually makes the Olympics. I just have a feeling that some of them won't make it sadly

I don't like men's gymnastics as much as I like women's and I don't know why. I guess I find their events uninteresting?

I think the funny thing is that I'm so obsessed with this stuff yet I can't tumble or do any gymnastics myself. It's always been my dream though. I hope to take some lessons at the local Cheer Gym for tumbling. I MUST learn soon before I get too old.

Anyone else like Gymnastics? I sure hope... lol

I used to do gymnastics for a couple years...then I got fat...

Going to the gym now, though. Losing weight like a champ!

I tune into the Olympics occasionally when they are happening and all the people, especially Divers and Gymnasts, are amazing. That must take a lot of hard work and training to do routines like that!

Good morning,

I always watch the Nationals, Worlds and Olympics gymnastics, Some Track and Field but not all, for summer sports and Figure Skating, Skiing, (when they jump off the big ramps) in the winter.

^It's all about training your body.

I LOVE gymnastics. Not that I take it, but I love watching it in the Olympics. I also love the diving, swimming, and rhythmic gymnastics...they are so cool!

I found a tutorial of how to teach yourself to do the splits and I was doing pretty good...but then I overstretched one night and had to stop because I tore a muscle in my leg. :3

One of these days though...

Gymnastics is just so fascinating

My favorite event is the Beam. Beam work is very difficult but so elegant I love it. One of my favorite gymnasts on the beam is Deng LinLin (China). Won Gold at the Olympics for beam and was the 2009 Wolrd Champion on beam. Her beam work is crisp and precise plus difficult and she hardly messes up. She is amazing. I like Catalina from Romania too, she has nice beam work. Kyla Ross is great on beam herself. She seems to float to her landing it's beautiful.
