Any Reason Not To Mix Dry Fish Food Over One Feeding?

I've been trying various types of fish food over the past 6 months and I ended up with 4 "general purpose" types of food that I am using regularly in my guppy/platy/community tanks:

They all have slightly different properties that make them a preferred choice in certain circumstances for me. E.g., HikarI Fancy Guppy pellets are the smallest ones and work great for smaller fish 3-4 months old. Plus they almost don't sink and don't end up in the gravel. NLS pellets are semi-floating, my fish seems to like it, but it is sometimes too big for smaller fish. NorthFin pellets sink almost immediately and they are small enough to fit all mouths, but require fish to become bottom feeders to get them

That said, even within one feeding, I often combine 2 or even 3 of those types depending on what I see in the tank. Some fish would inevitably taste all 3 of them in one feeding.

Is there any good legit reason NOT to do what I am doing in a long run? Assuming I feed very little, so overfeeding is not an issue, can it still harm the fish this way?

I don't see what it would hurt. That's basically what I do. Hmmm what to feed this time, grabs 2 containers. Yep I have a well thought out schedule. Lol

I always tend to mix and match food for fish that may require a 'specialized diet' (like tiny mouth needing flake/pellet) or larger sinking pellets for bottom feeders.

Any reason why you would think its not ideal to do so?

I do the same.
It's like a buffet for fish.

In my 75 gal community I probably feed 8-10 different foods every day. I have angels, tetras, cories and Bn plecos, so everyone has to get their own. I also feed a variety; 2 different flakes, two different pellets (cichlid and regular for tetras), 3 different bottom pellets, algae wafers, 2 kinds of bug bites...

In my other tanks not quite so much; fewer fish.

My fish are spoiled. I don’t eat that well...

Thanks everyone! I am at ease now

No specific reason related to fish keeping, but it kinda hit my mind yesterday and I realized I didn't have an answer. I remember when many years ago we had a dog, my wife asked our vet a very similar question about dog food, and his answer basically was that mixing different dog food together is a huge no-no in his book, especially mixing dry foods and natural food (like specially prepared meat) or mixing commercial food from different brands.

His explanation was that certain brands may have slightly different proportions of nutrients, thus mixing various brands in one feeding we might unknowingly lead to "overdose" or deficiency of some of the vital components which might in theory make some harm in a long run... I think he might've been too much on a side of a caution, so I'm glad that I'm not the only person doing the same for fishies
