so far for the past week I had my random movie craving, so I downloaded a bunch of them and was wondering if any body has seen any good ones lately, the ones I have seen are:

centurion - 3/5, a decent watch, but did not have a really good story
drive angry - 4/5, just an action packed movie, real good if you are into action from beginning to end, only downside, story sort of sucks
red - 4/5, action packed once again, beginning to end, I am a bruce willis fan so I liked it a lot!!!
due date - 4/5, real funny, both actors complement each other real well, only downside, story is too plain, but everything is real funny
I am number 4 - 3/5, decent movie, but I would not watch it again, the story is too common, but worth watching
the american - 2/5, you should only watch this movie if you like george clooney, otherwise don't bother
the fast and furious - 3/5, eh its the first one, real old movie but I still like it
2 fast 2 furious - 3/5, same thing as the first one, old but still good
tokyo drift - 3/5, I didnt like it as much, this is really the last movie out of the 5, it takes place all the way in the future
fast and furious - 4/5, good movie, beautiful cars, sexy woman, I like it!!!
unknown - 4/5, how can you not be a fan of liam neeson!!! you know if hes in a movie its going to be a real action movie, I like it!!! January Jones is so beautiful!!!
red riding hood - 3/5, I didnt expect to like it, but I did, only downside, too predictable
little fockers - 4/5, real funny movie, I was a fan of all the other ones, so I had to watch it
the green hornet - 3/5, eh its okay, not too bad, only downside, not a fan of the green hornet comic

top movies I recommend that I will never get tired of!!! :

pirates of the Caribbean - 5/5, REAL GOOD MOVIE!!! I love all the pirate movies!!!! and astrid berges frisbey can kidnap me any time, so beautiful!!!!
the town - 5/5, real good thriller movie, I can not believe I am saying this about a ben affleck movie, BUT HE IS A MONSTER IN THIS MOVIE, wow I can not believe how well he did, what a protagonist!!! jeremy renner complemented him real well, probably the only villain in this list that made me very nervous
the fighter - 5/5, this is my kind of boxing movie, good all around story, good fight in the end to complement the movie
the kings speech - 4/5, funny movie, real interesting if you are into speech therapy
battle los angeles - 5/5, really well done movie, I like everything about it, its sort of like independence day but in a soldiers point of view
the mechanic - 4/5, HOLY JEEZUZ this movie is my type of action film, I can keep going on and on but I will say, I will never get tired of this movie
the adjustment bureau - 5/5, probably the best movie I have seen the past week, real good all around movie, one of the that's I would be willing to watch 10 years from now
Letters to Juliet - 4/5, I wish the ending had more to it, it left us hanging
harry potter and the deathly hallows part 1 - 4/5, I love harry potter!!! I have read 4/7 books ( too many pages for me past book 4 ) and have seen all the movies up to date, can't wait for the next one coming out!!!
fast five - 4/5, like the 4th, good movie, beautiful cars, sexy woman and nice action scenes, only downside not enough car chases, but my favorite out of the 5
x men first class - 4/5, really good movie, I was a big x men fan when I was growing up, I just wish they showed more of wolverine, only downside for me, not enough mutants, but my favorite out of all the other ones

the movies I could not watch because it was too boring:

the next three days
get him to the greek
the tourist

notable actors that are just amazing:

January Jones, she did real well in Unknown, can not believe who her character actually was, I was like "WHAT!!!!!!!!!!", shes real beautiful and I would recommend keeping a close eye on her future movies

Amanda Seyfried, what can I say about her, all of the movies that I have seen with her in it made me focus on only her, she has the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen, next movie I plan to watch that stars her is "Mama Mia", she did real well in Letters to Juliet, she really made me fall in love with her in that movie, she was okay in Red Riding Hood, I am paying close attention to her in the near future

Jeremy Renner, what can I say about this guy, gave me the chills in The Town, real nasty villain that will make you nervous every time I he is in the screen, really good actor in that movie

Johnny Depp, what else can I say about this guy? You know how good he can act

TV series that I have seen:

how I met your mother season 1-6 - REAL FUNNY!!!! I give this series a 5/5 for sure, the first season started slow, but it just got better with time, I recommend this to anyone that loves comedy, REAL FUNNY!!!!
big bang theory 1-4 - REAL FUNNY!!!! I give this series a 4/5, the reason is the leading female, she is not really that good, but the men complement each other real well, I recommend anyone that loves comedy to watch this, REAL FUNNY!!!!

movies I plan on watching in soon are:

animal kingdom
cop out
takers
the other guys
stone
valentines day
conviction
despicable me
unstoppable
monsters
daybreakers
american gangsters

so what are some movies you folks have seen lately? and which are ones that I should skip?

Pirates Of The Carribean 5: too long & not not a patch on the 1st - 2/5

Faster: gotta love a good revenge tale -4/5

The Hitcher: maybe it's better to pick up strangers sometimes - 4/5

Thor: I had to put up with Chris Hemsworth in an aussie soap that the missus is a fan of so I really didn't like this movie at all - 1/5

Scream 4: seen one, seen 'em all but still good for a laugh - 3/5

The Mechanic: It's ok but the original with Charles Bronson was much better IMO - 3/5

Unstoppable: Really enjoyed this one but Denzel doesn't usually let me down - 4/5

Megamind: Good laughs, great to watch with the little ones - 4/5

The Other Guys: I should have known not to watch this movie because of Will "not funny" Ferrel but I gave it a chance because Wahlberg can actually act, wish I hadn't - 0/5.

Machete: Lots of big stars but a bit of a let down. 3/5

I am a movie renting junkie, but my rating system is only like, alright, or didn't like. I am really excited for green lantern! My wife will confirm I have a huge fascination with Ryan Reynolds. I have watched practically every movie he has been in. Definitely Maybe imo is one of the best romantic comedies of all time! I don't get to go to theaters, so I have to wait to rent movies, and lexI tries her best to limit my movie compulsion.

The one movie I will give a review of is Daybreakers. I love vampire movies! This one I really liked! Imo it is very well acted and the storyline is the most original one in the genre, although concepts have been taken from other films. This movie will be going in my personal vampire movie collection in the future.

lol, I understand, I am a downloading junkie I guess haha, as for Ryan renolds, he's okay, my favorite actress right now is seriously Amanda seyfried, she was really good in letters to Juliet, I love everything about that movie and I suggest you watch it!!!

I was never a lantern fan, but I'll give it a shot when it comes out in DVD

daybreakers sounds more interesting now, it's almost finished downloading so I'll watch it most likely tonight

I haven't seen a good movie inn forever. Seems like the movies all have the same plot over and over. I want a storyline that hasn't bbeen done before. I want something w/ a good twist. I like movies were I have to think and then guess what willl happen.
The last movie we saw was the new Adam Sandler flic. Predictable plot, been done already. Some funny parts.
I want something different.
Maxima, I love your right up, very good!

thanks!!! yea I just had to put all my thoughts somewhere, I literally saw most of these movies in about a week, I have this craving for either TV series or movies every 4-5 months and its insane lol

I forgot about Kung Fu Panda 2, I brought my sister to the theatres and it was great, I give it a 4/5, but I like the first one better, the ending left is with a cliffhanger and it blows, now I can't wait for the next one =]

just came from watching The Green Lantern, I gave the movie a 5/5, I liked everything about it, coming into the movie I was not a lantern fan, but I ended really liking the movie, Ryan Renolds was funny, witty and beastly in the Green Lantern, I have new found respect for the sexiest man alive... also the leading female, Blake Lively, GORGEOUS , absolutely beautiful in that film, a must see for the summer, probably the #3 or 4 movie of the summer, it has to compete with Transformers, Harry Potter and Captain America!!! CANT WAIT!!! LEGOOOOOO

well like I said, I think the first one is better, but the ending made up for it IMO!!! the comedy was actually funny too, and the story line was decent!!!

since its been a while, have you seen it yet?

I also watched The Green Lantern again on 3D, IMO don't waste another 4$, but it made blake lively more gorgeous, and yes ladies!!! ryan renolds was too in 3D

just saw Unstoppable with denzel washington and chris pine, movie was decent, I give it a 3/5, not my kind of action film, but it kept me entertained

omg how did I forget about that movie!!! that is one of my favorite animated films, I can watch that movie over and over

How to Train Your Dragon is an awesome film, I saw this last year when it first came out and since seen it around three more times, this is an awesome movie all around, great comedy, great story, awesome scenes that leave your breathless, especially when they first fly together, a definite 5/5 for me

many little men like me and a million others always wondered how it would be like to fly with a dragon, these two movies captured me from the moment I saw the trailers, just awesome!!!

that's not my kind of movie =T but I am planning to watch it in a few days, I just downloaded it!!!
The last film I watched was Shutter Island. I thought it was extremely good. In my opinion, 4/5.

just saw Valentines Day, the movie is hilarious!!!! I give it a 3/5 though, mainly because of two reasons:

1 - too confusing on how they each know each other
2 - you can only watch this movie the day before valentines day

this movie is pretty good if you are into feel good movies, the comedy was pretty funny, the little boy was adorable in it, some parts made me tear, especially Julia Roberts role, it just warmed my heart on what her character has been through

also, how is Jennifer Garner so beautiful!!! I was a garner maniac like 10 years ago!!! and wow she is just stunning in this movie, still beautiful at the age of 38, she looked like she was 18 in this movie, just GORGEOUS

also, the football player, what a twist!!! that is all I have to say!!! I suggest you watch this with a friend, girl/boyfriend, wife or husband because it is a pretty romantic comedy, a pretty darn good one too, best one I have seen in a while IMO

HI guys
just a few suggestion off the top of my head of not-so-common titles:

The King of Masks--China
Defendor--Canada/USA
Uncommon Valor
Moon
The Road Home--China
Pan's Laberinth--Spain
The Triplets of Belleville--french animation
Seven Samurai--Japan
Dreams--Japan
Spirited Away--Anime
The Mission
The Burning Season
Whale Rider--New Zealand
Amelie--French
4 minutes-- eeeh, I do not remember French or German (?)
Hero
Murder in the First
The Others
Shine
Notes on a Scandal--UK

the UK original versions of Shameless and The OfficeSeries are very good. Extras' first season is brilliant.

Pan's Labyrinth is a great movie! Subtitles but the story line is so amazing. "In the fascist Spain of 1944, the bookish young stepdaughter of a sadistic army officer escapes into an eerie but captivating fantasy world."

Man on Fire with Denzel Washington is a great movie too. Not a typical Hollywood ending. "In Mexico City, a former assassin swears vengeance on those who committed an unspeakable act against the family he was hired to protect."

If you like sick and twisted movies, watch The Collector. It is similar to the Saw series. Very gory and again not a typical Hollywood ending. "Desperate to repay his debt to his ex-wife, an ex-con plots a heist at his new employer's country home, unaware that a second criminal has also targeted the property, and rigged it with a series of deadly traps. "

Leon The Professional is another great movie. I got my avatar from this movie. "Professional assassin Leon reluctantly takes care of 12-year-old Mathilda, a neighbor whose parents are killed, and teaches her his trade."

I have tons more on the list, I will post more later .

I can not believe I forgot about that denzel movie, I am so watching it when I finish all my other movies lol

I actually watched hostel and all the saw movies without puking, I can proudly say I also giggled in some parts lol, the collector seems like a good movie, I MIGHT check it out

the professional seems like a good action movie, I will have to check it out and put it on my list

thanks for the suggestions!!!

Another great foreign film is "Sin Nombre", subtitled too. "Honduran teenager Sayra reunites with her father, an opportunity for her to potentially realize her dream of a life in the U.S. Moving to Mexico is the first step in a fateful journey of unexpected events"

"From Paris with Love" is cool love/action type. It stars John Travolta. "In Paris, a young employee in the office of the US Ambassador hooks up with an American spy looking to stop a terrorist attack in the city. "

If you like documentaries, please watch "Paradise Cove" it is saddening but I am glad it is exposing how dolphins are being mutilated every day in a cove somewhere in Japan.

"Bowling for Columbine" and "Capitalism: A Love Story" are two great films from Michael Moore, it is funny, intellectual, and it provides good points.

Other pointless but funny/cool movies are "Dazed and Confused" and "Half Baked".

I can go on with this list! Movies and reading are the best way to enjoy one's company or others when saving money. It is a fact.

well here is my review of Transformers 3

HOLY JEEZUZZZZZZZZ you folks need to watch this movie, it is by far the best of the three and most likely the second best movie of the summer, yes they did over hype this movie, yes they did show endless commercials for the past 5-6 months, but I swear to you, it is a GREAT movie, unlike the first two transformers, the third actually has a storyline, they had such a detailed story that if you did not pay attention, you would be wondering what the heck is going on, I loved it from the start to finish and it was very WELL DONE

usually trailers show the best scene of the movie, NOPE not in this one, they had much more epic scenes, I just loved the gliding part and I was just in awe in the moment that they leaped off, it was a just dropping moment

if you do not like action scenes, I am going to give you a word of advice my dad told me, SUCK IT UP PRINCESS AND JUST DO IT!!!!!

a definite 5/5 and I will be watching this movie over and over and over and over and over and over again for the next 10 years or so!!!

well me and my friends ( 7 in total ) just finished our annual harry potter marathon, we usually have it the week before one of the movies come out and needles to say, this will be our last one since the series is ending, it will such a sad thing to see this yearly event we have end

well here are my reviews:

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone - I give this a 4/5, I read the book when I was like in middle school or high school, it was very well done and I was very pleased with both the book and the movie
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - I give this a 3/5, mainly because I did not like how the movie went, it was very different with the book
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - I give this a 5/5, this was one of my favorite harry potters and it was very much like the book so I was very pleased, it was also when the movie started becoming more of an adult film so I was very happy that they brought back the three main characters
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - I give this one a 4/5, I really liked the story, and this was when I stopped reading the books because it just got too long for me, this was when you actually saw voldemort and he actually did something, instead of just voices, I was really surprised of how cool he looked, and of course!! HE KILLED ROBERT PATTINSON!!! how can you not give it a positive rating??
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - this was by far the most boring one out of the series, I give this a 2/5
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - this movie I gave a 3/5, the movie started real slow and weird and towards the middle it really picked up, having not read the book I was really in a surprise and the movie left me with tears, I can NOT believe what happened in the end, I was literally about to just leave the theatre, but for those of you that don't know, SPOILTER ALERT, dumbledore was killed by the double agent, Snape... he is working for dumbledore and had no choice but to kill him so Voldemort would believe that he was with them and not against them... for those of you that don't know about Snape, he is a double agent and he IS a spy for dumbledore
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 - I give this a 4/5, I really liked this movie, and after they showed what were the three items, I was very surprised, the reason why I did not give this a 5/5 was because it left us with a cliff hanger, and I hate those SO MUCH!!!

one more week until the last installment of the movie!!! its going to be a sad day =[

X-Men: First Class - I thought it was awesome. Squashed the trilogy and Wolverine: Origins.

Thor - Great as well, but I'm a huge comic book fan and am currently on a Thor kick (reading the 8 lb 2K plus page Omnibus which is the best Thor story ever told)

Toy Story 3 - Simply incredible. Best computer animated film I ever seen, draws me in emotionally.

Easy A - Meh. Not too bad, but I guess it's definitely more for a teenage audience.

About to watch Beastly.

I forgot about Toy Story 3, I give that 5/5, I went with my cousins, aunts and uncles, they were balling out crying, I was about to cry but I held it back, I grew up around Toy Story and remember when Andy was a little kid, and now hes off to college!!! though that aint my favorite animated disney film ( LION KING!!! ), it is on my top 5, very well made movie and sad to see the Toy Story franchise come to an end

I have not seen thor or easy a, but it is on my movie list.. like number 12 lol

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2

I literally just came home from watching the last movie of harry potter, this movie was OUTSTANDING, a fitting ending to such a wonderful series, I feel bad for those who are not harry potter fans because they are missing out on such a great movie, all the questions have been answered, we finally know who the dark horse of the movie is and how he came to be the person he is, it was such a spectacular movie... this movie is thee movie of the summer if not the year

if you are not a harry potter fan, suck it up and watch this epic fantasy from start to finish, it will be well worth your time

a definite 5/5

also will note, this movie will be the standard on any movie that will categorize on epic fantasy and have multiple sequels, nothing I repeat nothing will come close to harry potter... NOTHING

I download movies, these are some I've watched the last month or so, that I can remember. Not all are "family movies."

Marley and Me 3/5 - Sad, but predictable and so on.
Never Let Me Go 4.5/5 - Interesting story, very sad, I cried a lot.
It's Kind of a Funny Story 3/5 - Cute movie, I enjoyed watching it but wouldn't watch it again.
Teeth 4/5 - Awesome. It's kind of horror movie cheesy but it's on purpose.
Hard Candy 5/5 - I loved it, very interesting and I'd watch it again.
Trust 4/5 - I thought it was a good movie bit it went a little slow at parts and I could see some people getting bored. Some of it is hard to watch.
Lost Highway 3.5/5 - David Lynch, what else do I need to say.

Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring - I give the first one a 4/5, yes this is the first one and the most boring one, but if you think about it, you find out the story of why everything is happening, I enjoyed this in the theatres and I loved it even more when I saw the extended addition, so much stuff is added which made it even better I reckon!!!
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers - I give this a 5/5, this is my favorite movie of the trilogy because of the action scenes and comedy, this movie was really well done and it deserves all the hype and awards it received, just an amazing film all around
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King - I give this a 5/5, this movie made me wish the series never ended, the ending where they were honoring the hobbits and Aragorn said "my friends, you bow to no one" made me ball out cry in the theatre, it was so emotional for me because of all the sacrifices they did, they were the littlest, but had the biggest heart

I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE PREQUEL OF THIS MOVIE!!! omg, I wish it would come sooner!!!

Captain America - I give it a 3/5, I was expecting much more from this movie with all the hype it had, it was such a huge let down, their were funny moments, but over-all, I don't think it lived up to the hype
Final Destination 1-4 - I give every one of them a 4/5, the gross factor was just crazy and hilarious, from the moment it began I was a fan, I don't want to get into it since their are kids in this forum
Final Destination 5 - this movie was just complete insanity, the gross factor in this movie was just INSANE!!!! I suggest everyone to watch it lol, it was funny and gross at the same time, just over all a good film, I give it a 5/5
