Any betta needing a new home?

I have a 5 gallon betta tank set up (heated, filtered, live plants, cycled) and I'm looking to add a betta soon. I was going to go to my LFS and get one but I thought I would see if anyone either has betta babies for sale or had a betta they need to re-home first. I'm in Portland OR, but I would pay shipping if you had something not in my area.

Let me know

I’ve got a couple 6 month olds! They’re a tiny bit stunted (not sure if it was genetics or me, they were my first batch). All girls but all super sweet, you can see videos of them all here:
Oct. 25th 2019 Cross (Available)
I’ll be getting some shipping bags in here soon, after that I can ship.

Hmmm. I was hoping for a male since they will be the only fish in this tank. Unfortunately I also couldn't have one of these gals in my community tank since I have a honey gourami in there. I will definitely consider it though, the are very cute

Very true! Best of luck finding a fish!
I think EmiliyaCossack might have some show-quality(?) males to sell down the road a little bit

Thanks Dewclaw83 ! I appreciate it. Yes I'm going to have two high quality males available soon, send me a private message and I'll send you pictures! I'm a state over from you, I'm in Idaho so shipping shouldn't be too bad.

If you want to help someone rehome a betta you can check craigslist or letgo. I constantly see people trying to give away honestly really beautiful bettas there! I also love your setup

I looked on Craigslist a few times and I didn’t see anything in my area. I’ll check out letgo though

Oh wow haha. I’m probably looking for one earlier then they will be ready. What kind of betta did you breed? I might look into a second tank later. This setup only cost me like $60

Your tank is nice! The parents are in the first page of the thread. It’s a Nemo galaxy and red blue galaxy HMPK

They are beautiful! I love the coloring. How old do they have to be to ship?

Although a year old, I found this list last night when searching for places looking for rehoming bettas. I can't vouch or any of them, but here's the list.

Seattle is probably the closest entry to you.

I’d be comfortable shipping them at around 3 months old or maybe even 2.5 months old. They’re developing their color everyday. Nice thing about buying a young betta is you’ll see it develop everyday with your eyes especially that mY spawn has a marble gene.

And you said they were 8 weeks now? Ok! Well I’m definitely interested. If you could maybe give an estimate for cost and shipping that would be great even though it’s a still a bit of time away.
