Anubias root trimming and reaatachment

So I have several anubias plants in my tank. They use to be attached to a piece of wood. While technically still attached the roots have pushed the rhizomes away from the wood. Would it be safe to remove the plants, trim off the excess roots and then glue them back down?

That's what I do with my Anubias, when trimming rhizome use a razor blade to make nice smooth cuts. One the new section ensure you have at least 5 good leaves growing from the rhizome.

Theres no need to trim their roots. If your plant is still attached to the wood I would just leave it be.

The roots are attached by the very top but the plant itself is three inches above the wood which is not the look I'm going for. That's why I want to trim the roots. The rhizome is no longer near the wood.

Take the wood out and wrap the roots around the wood to bring the rhizome closer or attach it back onto the wood with superglue thread fishing line or small elastics... the excess roots can be cut but I would wrap them unless some feel soft and rotted
