Boxermom if you choose not to vote in online petitions thats your perogative. but I personally thank Alex5454 for bringing this to our attention. I never say never, you never know what might sway public opinion and it was nice to go there and find that almost 5000 other people thought so too.
Thanks again Alex
There are many ways of making an actual difference. Online petitions is not one of them. Online petitions are a "feel good" measure and that's pretty much it. However, everyone is free to do as they please.
I like the fact that you posted this Alex because it shows someone actually cares a lot about fish and is willing to do something about the cruelty going on. Even a little something is good - better than nothing, for sure. Even IF online petitions don't work, they DO make people realize what is going on around them. This petition - even if it doesn't work - is good in a sense that is educates people, and as someone very wise has told me (): education can be a very powerful tool. So, online petitions ARE a wonderful thing in the sense that they show that people care about fish and are willing to do something about the cruelty.
hi there i recently bought 4 green tigerbarbs not knowing that they were injected with dyes at the time.. > if i knew that then i wouldnt have got them..(2 of them died within 48 hours of me buying them)im thinking it could have somthing to do with them being injected.. poor fishies .the other 2 are ok,just hope that they have gotten over the stress of being painted and have a long life now..
