Sorry to disappoint you but online petitions never work.

Boxermom if you choose not to vote in online petitions that's your perogative. but I personally thank Alex5454 for bringing this to our attention. I never say never, you never know what might sway public opinion and it was nice to go there and find that almost 5000 other people thought so too.
Thanks again Alex

Yes, thank you. It is very informative. It will at least have people thinking about the issue and getting the issue out there is a good thing.

I am sending it on.

There are many ways of making an actual difference. Online petitions is not one of them. Online petitions are a "feel good" measure and that's pretty much it. However, everyone is free to do as they please.

I would encourage people to research what is going on a little bit, however. It doesn't hurt to be better informed.

I like the fact that you posted this Alex because it shows someone actually cares a lot about fish and is willing to do something about the cruelty going on. Even a little something is good - better than nothing, for sure. Even IF online petitions don't work, they DO make people realize what is going on around them. This petition - even if it doesn't work - is good in a sense that is educates people, and as someone very wise has told me (): education can be a very powerful tool. So, online petitions ARE a wonderful thing in the sense that they show that people care about fish and are willing to do something about the cruelty.

hI there I recently bought 4 green tigerbarbs not knowing that they were injected with dyes at the time.. > if I knew that then I wouldnt have got them..(2 of them died within 48 hours of me buying them)I'm thinking it could have something to do with them being injected.. poor fishies .the other 2 are ok,just hope that they have gotten over the stress of being painted and have a long life now..

Wow Carol, that's a beautiful tiger barb. I didn't know tiger barbs can look like this (I've only seen the ones with black stripes so far). One thing though: why is it called "green" when it's blue?

I think it's just the way the picture was taken. I have seen genuine green tiger barbs at the store though and they are very pretty. Maybe David could take us some pictures

hI there ..well now I'm not sure at all,but that is a good thing.. .I thought all tigerbarbs that wernt striped are dyed but after reading that it looks like ive got two healthy green barbs that arnt dyed at all.. .that's great news.. so you want pictures Isabella, not a problem..I can do pictures ..I took these ones last night after reading this post..somtimes mine look blue or black too,I think it has something to do with the lighting in the tank not sure though..ive also included 1 of my clowns peering out from under a log, after seeing butterflys pics..my biggest tigerbarb(spot) is in most of the pics too,he loves the camera ..its not easy to get a good pic of tigerbarbs because they are constantly moving around but I got a few not bad ones..hope you enjoy them..

thanx again
