Another MoshJosh build thread, 29 gallon X3.

For this one I just ripped off Joey, king of DIY’s 40 gallon breeder rack build. Mine will be housing 3 29 gallon tanks. . . Hopefully home to breading pairs of discus. . . Anyway, I changed Joey’s design a little bit, basically just added a gallon of wood glue, used deck screws on a few important bits, and added some little stabilizing feet as the footprint of the 29 gallons is a bit smaller than the 40s.

Think I’ll add 1/2 inch ply to where the tanks sit, and will be painting black.

Looks good. If your using glass tanks I would also add a layer of polystyrene between the tank bottom and the ply sheet. I use cheap polystyrene ceiling tiles for this. This means if the ply sheet warps at all ( and in my experience of using ply in damp conditions it will ) it will spread the weight evenly
