another lighting question

maxima423

okay, sorry if this has asked a million times, but my questions are:

1) would 10k lighting in a 20 gallon long burn my plants?
can I grow my plants in 10,000k?
any negative effects?

2) I plan to upgrade to these

and was wondering if I should get the 24" or the 30" Freshwater fixture, the reason I ask this is because my 20 gallon long is 30"s long, but with the stand, would the 30" fixture be too long for the 20 gallon ?

3) are the legs adjustable ?

4) the fixtures comes with

(1) 24" 24W 650nm Pink Roseate
(1) 24" 24W 6,000°K
(1) 30" 24W 650nm Pink Roseate
(1) 30" 24W 6,000°K

would 6,000k be efficient as 6,700k?
what does 650nm pink roseate mean?

5) should I get better bulbs?

thanks

10k will not burn plants at all.
Pink roseate I assume is a 'grow light' it will probably be that pink/purple colour, 650nm is the wavelength or colour of the light, ie. what part of the spectrum it resides in.
There's not much difference between 6,700 and 6000k at all.

I don't have any experience with that fixture, I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer or the retailer for more info.
In a side note, I'm looking for new lights for my 4' and those look like a good choice, thanks!
