Angelfish tiny hole on his head and lump on fin?

Can anyone help please ?

I inherited this 4 yo angel fish and he came with the tiny hole on his head but today he’s started with this small lump/ growth near his fin.
I’ve done a 50% water change immediately. No other fish seem to have any issues , yet.
Can anyone identify what it is so I can begin treatment. My quarantine tank isn’t cycled yet after needing repairs.
The tank is a 180L, 1 common pleco, 1 angel, 1 small red shark ( trying to re home ) 1 krib, 8 black widows , 4 gold barbs ,3 small black tetras and 3 nerites. Not the best mix for a community tank I know but only the pleco and tetras were mine.

Caused new tank syndrome as when I got the new ( to me ) tank the fish that came with It had been in a bucket overnight with no heater ( didn’t know until I got there ) so seeded new tank with old filter media , all decor and as much substrate and water as I could. Since then I’ve been doing 15- 30% water changes every other day ( or every 3rd day depending on size of wc) to try and keep water params at safe levels, unless I had a spike then I’d do a 50% . This was 8 weeks ago . I added 7 live plants and moss balls to try and help. Temp is 25c, with an air pump and added activated carbon into the fixed filter.

please help me identify what I can do to help him . Thanks for reading !

ps- using api master test kit- before school
Ammonia -0- 0.25
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-10
Ph-7

Need a picture to help. Sometimes angels get these white spots because of stress from moving or new water conditions. Hole in head can be from bad water conditions.

Sorry !! Thought I’d attached one ! The tiny hole in the head was there from the start. The fin issue is new though. I’ve added Melafix last night and it seems to of popped … any help is still more than welcomed as I don’t know what it is so don’t want to be treating if it’s wrong ! Thanks in advance !

Posted photos now. Sorry thought I’d already done that. The hole in the head was there when we got him ( her ?) it wasn’t like a white spot it was more a profusion from the fin .

I still think it is HITH.

The hole may of been damage caused somewhere along the line. If the image is correct, It looks like the hole has gone right though the fish as I see the blue background. HITH wouldn't do this as it starts small, spreads then opens up the wounds. Although if it is hole in the head, your best to start by removing the carbon if any then conducting a large water change.

The white spot could be a number of things: fungus, anchor worm, sore or ich. It looks minor so research these and it will give you the best hope in the diagnosis.

Generally plants aren't going to help with removing ammonia and nitrite unless there's A LOT of them and they are well established in the perfect conditions.

The hole is hole in the head. Water it came from probably wasn’t cleaned as often as it should. If you can change 50% of the water 3 times a week for a few week and all should clear up. I wouldn’t use any meds.

I’ve been doing regular wc’s so hopefully it’ll clear up. It seems to be better but the hole isn’t going. Will it ever heal fully ?

It depends on a lot of things. Age, health, immune system strength and stress level. It may be permanent or it may heal. I'd give it a month until you can make that decision. Fish with permeant injuries can be kept proving you keep a clean tank. For instance, I have a Neon Tetra with a missing gill plate as a result of poor genetics, I have kept him for 5 months and he's still kicking.

Even though he’s a pain I’d not want to euthanise unless absolutely necessary so he best just get better !!

Just keep the tank clean. By doing frequent water changes your topping up the electrolytes that help fish to grow and thrive. I'd do a water change every time your dkh gets close to being outside your desired range or the nitrates reach 20.

Just keep the tank clean.
I’ll stick to the 50% 3x a week and hopefully that’ll solve it. Would adding salt help or do you think I should just stick at the wc?

Not sure how the salt will be with the nerite. But the water changes alone should work. How big is the tank? The hole may not go away but it’s not harming the fish.

That’s what I thought. It’s 180L so 47.5 us G. I’ll just stick to the water changes, Thankyou .

Is it just me or does it look like somethings in the hole ? It’s blue as it’s reflecting off the tank lights not a straight through hole but it looks like somethings in it ! Or could it just be healing ? Maybe…
