Angelfish Temperature Compatibility

HI all
Dont know if this question is for this forum or the stocking one. Currently I'm in the early stages of cycling my 75 gallon tank. I'm thinking of a community tank with angelfish, Bolivian rams, dension barbs and harlequin rasboras.
Question is angelfish like the water temperature between 76 - 84. and the barbs 60-77. From what I've read these two are not compatible but I've seen them together on YouTube vids.
I want to try it but don't want to stress out a fish and have a shorter life span. Just looking for some advice. Thanks

They should be fine together. Just keep in mind that the higher you go with temperature, the higher the metabolism will be for certain fish. A high metabolism could lead to a shorten lifespan. If you don't feel comfortable keeping those two species in the same tank, then don't do it.

Thanks Crispii. Absolutely correct if I don't feel comfortable. I just like hearing experience then just reading stats.
I will keep the metabolism thing in the back of my mind. Thanks.
Does higher metabolism in fish have the same effects as in humans. ie. weight loss?

Now don't quote me on this, but I don't think fish will get weight loss if they're in a high temperature.

I wouldn't go lower than 80 for angels personally. So the others will be kept at higher than ideal temps. Which from what understand shortens their life span. By how much? I do not know!

And the highest I would do Bolivians would be 78. I thought that was fine for angels, but if they do better in the 80s then GBR would suit them better.

78 is perfectly fine for angels.

I think both? I’m not sure which is why I’m asking.

Yes 78 is doable for angels. But definitely not lower than that. And that puts you at the very top of the range for others. You mentioned 77 was the top for the denison barbs.

Also...GBRs are definitely the rams you should keep with angels. Not Bolivians.

I don't keep my GBR with angels because I keep my angels under 80f ?? I keep my Bolivians with my silver Dantumns ..
I am not sure when angels became warm warm water fish .. Maybe mine would breed better if they were warmer ? I keep Dantums which are Altum/Scalare cross and Leopoldis so not average angels ..Never really been told what to do with them !
I have always thought angels were a 'community 'staple for decades ? That would be 72-78 IMO ?
Looking at source info on angels it says 76-86 ?? I still would not keep them with rams just as I would not keep them with discus ..Too aggressive IMO ?
The Bolivians and angels both breed in same tank as do the rams and discus ..Maybe I should switch some things up this season ?

For what it's worth...all the big time angelfish breeders I associate with keep their angels at 80. With the fry being more like 82. As do I.

I'll check what my lfs keeps their juvenile angelfish at and make my decision from there. If the temps are lower I'll add the Bolivian rams if its higher then I need to rethink. So the denison barbs are out (bummer), well until I get more experience with angels.

Just remember not to start with altum angels.
