Angelfish Pair ??

I have five angelfish in my 55 gallon, attempting to get a spawning pair. Two have paired off and they have been cleaning an area and fighting off any of the other angelfish from that area, but I have yet to see any eggs. I see the breeding tubes and they kind of look like they area both males. Do males ever pair off? I have had spawning pairs before and after a few days of cleaning and fighting off other fish, they usually lay eggs, but these I don't see any progress...I'm wondering if males ever pair off or maybe they are taking longer than normal to lay eggs.

Can you post pictures of them? preferably close ups of the breeding tubes.....
I HIGHLY doubt two males would EVER pair up. I have seen females pair up and lay eggs together, but I can't imagine two males pairing off and cleaning a surface for eggs when neither can lay them. But you never know I suppose!!

Female's breeding tubes can be tiny and male-like until right before they lay eggs. I have one female whose breeding tube you don't see AT ALL until the day of egg laying. So maybe your female just isn't quite ready yet.

I'll try posting pics, but maybe that's the case, that she has not showed her breeding tube completely.

That's my best guess. Keep us updated.
