Angelfish Pair For Sale!

To start off with, I woke up today to this! Angelfish and a ton of angelfish eggs in the corner. Since I have never raised or planned on raising fry, I think this batch will probably not make it (I don't have a separate tank or anything).
Since these two are so interested in each other, I will let them go to a home that has the facilities to take care of the young.

The two you saw in this photo are the pair. The striped one is about 4 or 4.5 inches tall. (Counting fins)

I live in Northern California. Pickup is preferred, but I may be able to ship.

If there is a way to raise some of these fry, I would be interested to know how.

Thank you.

Of course you don't need a separate tank, but that means very few will survive. The parents will heavily guard them from others. Make sure to keep the ligh on so the parents aren't spooked and eat the eggs. Can you crush up any flakes really fine? That can become fry food. If you want you could get a breeder net and pick out a few fry from the batch and put them in their.

Oh wow! I had heard a podcast on raising angelfish that led me to believe that it was really hard, but that was directed more towards selling them than just having a few live.

Not that I can change it, but will they be ok right next to the filter? The parents picked the corner that is within 6 inches of my penguin 350.

I do have some food I can crush. Will the parents take care of them until they are dime size, or do they leave the scene after they hatch?

Thank you for the info!

The op asked if there was any info on how to raise them herself. I answered that.

Which goes back to my post. A thread should be started in the appropriate forum for this type of question.

This is strictly b/s/t.

Lucy: Is it also for a thread on where to post, or is there an area for that?

I posted that question because I was still on the edge about whether to sell them or not. I thought that I couldn't keep them because the fry would die. Since I don't like having fish die for no reason, I thought I would get them a better home. But since Sarah helped me, I am going to keep them and see if I can raise some babies.

Thank you for the input.
