Angelfish On Bottom Of Tank

I just got 3 new angelfish from my lps, it's been 3 days sense I got them and they just sit at the bottom of the tank in a little group. They move around but stay at the bottom. I have never kept angelfish before, so is this normal. If it isn't I'm wondering if it's my sofened water. I just had a water softener put in about a week ago before I got the fish, would this be causing my problems?

Welcome to Fishlore! What size tank? Is it cycled? What are your water parameters? Did you acclimate them? Can you post pictures?

They live in soft water in nature. I think they look better in tannins myself, think it's tacky not to

They are temporarily in a 15 gallon till I have my 55 gallon cycled, I acclimated them, idk the parameters bc I don't have the means of testing it rn. And my phone takes pics that are to big to upload to the form. I'll get some later today

should I just wait till I get them into my 55 gallon in a day or so and see if that helps?

Move the media from the 15 over to the 55 and put them in.

that could be a problem, I'm planing to use sand to fine gravel in the 55 gallon but the 15 has pea gravel.

They really should be in quarantine for 2 weeks but if it's unhealthy in there I'd take em out if you wanna keep em. Start your other fish on fresh garlic now to boost their immune system. Just mix it in with some thawed frozen food and maybe some parsley or other veggies (optional) and freeze it into little cubes for portion control. I use eggcrate for this. Lay it in a casserole dish/whatever

Most of the beneficial bacteria lies in the filter media.

Oh yeah and mix in some tank water to make a slurry

I also use a garlic press but you can mince it however you like
