Angelfish keep laying eggs and our fish are eating the fry

Hi, I'm new to the forum and have a 90 gallon tank with a mixture of fish. Two of my angelfish have become a breeding pair and keep laying eggs on the corner of the tank where the front and side meet. Twice now they have gotten to where they are wiggles and I tried to save them by scooping them into a net breeder but both times the fry have disappeared. I think the bigger fish are sucking them through the net. I do not want to remove the parents to another tank to lay eggs because the mom is probably 5 years old now. Any ideas for how to save some of these babies?

Use a different breeder box, one that is plastic instead of a mesh net. Either that or move them to a separate rearing tank. Keep in mind tiny angel fry need tiny food, simple crushed flakes might not work too well at all. I'd probably use live micro worms and baby brine shrimp as first foods.

yes, use a plastic breeder box

Any recommendations for a plastic breeder box? All the ones I see have big holes in them. Would I be better off moving them to a 1 gallon tank instead?

Any recommendations for the type of filter?

If the one gallon has a filter and heater sponge.
I think a 10 gal + would be better

I have an empty 5 gallon that just needs cleaned up with a heater. Maybe I'll get a sponge filter for it and give it a try since it shouldn't be too much money to do that. I never intended on baby fish but now that they keep hatching them, I would like to keep some alive! Thanks so much!

Sounds like you now have the bug, that's how we all started
