Angelfish has stringy poop

Hello everyone, so yesterday I noticed one of my angelfish had trouble pooping (being constipated) then once it finally was able to push it out there was this clear/white stringy substance stuck to it. It was able to get it off I’m not sure what it is. I also noticed it again today. Do you think it could be parasites or is it something else. I’m ready to treat my tank with general cure. I also have been feeding them pellets in the morning and flakes at night and I would Catch my angelfish eating my cory catfish wafers. Can anyone help me?

Try feeding New Life Spectrum Thera +A. It's a small pellet food laced with garlic.
As long as the Angel continues to eat, likely no worries.
Not a good idea to blindly medicate.

I use that brand of food already along with the other one below. I also feed them frozen brine shrimp and bloodworms but I haven’t been feeding them frozen food lately. Also my ph level is at 7.2, ammonia is 0, and nitrites are 5 ppm

Sounds like you are doing a great job taking care of your Angels.
Stringy poop doesn't always indicate parasites. Might have just been a little constipated. You might bypass a couple of feedings to give the Angel a little time to completely evacuate its bowels.
Note; Garlic is said to have anti parasitic properties. I believe there is something to that.

Thanks for the compliment! I haven’t fed them today. I was going to wait until tomorrow night to feed them peas. I read they are considered to be laxatives for fish. Do you think that’s a good idea?

I'd be surprised if the Angel would eat peas. Think they are more or less just carnivores.

Rotate the brine shrimp back in your feeding schedule (dietary fiber).
