Angelfish fry laying on side

Hi everyone! I have my first batch of angelfish fry (they will be 2 weeks free swimming tomorrow) and they seem to be doing well for the most part except a handful of them are laying on their side, acting as though they are trying to swim and when I feed them or they are startled the do swim normal for a few seconds then fall back to the bottom on their side.

I have them in a large Fluval breeder box attached to a 20 gallon tank with 2 sponge filters rated for up to 60 gallons each. The parents were in the 20 gallon but I moved them so now there is nothing in there except a couple shrimp. They are growing well. I feed them live baby brine shrimp 4 times per day. I am using a turkey baster to get the stuff off the bottom 3 times per day and I am doing a 40% water change once a week. Do I need to do more water changes? I heard daily water changes when with the parents but no one is in the 20 gallon and there’s only about 35-45 tiny fry. I’m worried this is something I’m doing though. I noticed 2 on their side at first, now there are 4 or 5. Is this correctable? I have a 10 gallon bare bottom empty and the 20 gallon long with black diamond substrate that I can put them in if I should get them out of the breeder box. It does constantly pump fresh tank water in but I don’t know when it’s best to move them.

Change more water more often. o_O
Also just for note, not all fry will survive.
When you get to about 4 weeks most of the weak or 'defective' ones will be gone and you can focus more on growing.
At 2 weeks your fry look good and I would be offering some powdered food.

Thank you! Should I be doing daily water changes then? I did 50% daily when the parents were in there but they kept eating them so that didn’t work out so well, lol. Maybe I will just start doing 50% daily at this point.

If you can do them properly [ temp matched ] then change away.
I did daily water changes on my breeding and fry tanks.
I had total control over new water so rarely changed less than 75%,but you need to match your water not to stress the fry.

That makes complete sense. Thank you!
