When I restock my tank I was considering angelfish and have these folllowing questions:

1, are they good with snails(plan on getting thosse)?

2.If I decieded to get them how many can go in the tank(29G)?

I am not sure about the snails. I assume it would be ok, but maybe someone else can say for sure.

There are a couple of things that affect the answer to how many you can put in your tank. First would be...are you planning on the angels being the only fish in there? Or will this be a community tank? If you are only putting angels in, you could put in 4-5 without overcrowding. However, keep in mind that as the angels mature, it is possible that with that many in the tank you will end up with a pair. If that happens, it is very possible that they will become extremely territorial towards the remaining angels and you will have constant fights on your hands, with real damage being done to some of them. You would need to be prepared to separate them in that event. If you buy the angels as babies, it would be months before that would become a concern, but it is something you need to know about up front.

My suggestion would be only 2 angels in your 29. I think sgould is right, and there would be fighting for dominance issues with more than 2 of them. I don't think you would have any problem with your angels if you got some snails.

I was considering only getting two anyway and I wanted snails ,can I put anything else in there like corys?

Corys should do just fine with angels. Corys like to have friends, so you would probably want to consider 3-4 of them.

I've been checking, but there's a VERY big chance I might be wrong, but as far as I can make out there's only salt water dwarf angels?...

Did you find a dwarf fresh water angel fish?Did you get an angelfish?

I got one angelfish for my community tank and it is doing great no problems at all wish I could get a second they are so pretty and they have a very interesting character about them. Everytime I come up to the tank he is the first one to come and see me and when I move about by the tank he follows me to. They are such cool fish.

Have two angels myself, they used to be in the 29 gallon but had to separate them from the community. Not sure which one, tho I have an idea who was the culprit in the many attacks on my rainbow platys that resulted in loss of five fish. Since they are now in their temporary 10 gal tank by themselves I have had no more fish loss in the community. I have another 29 gallon that I haven't set up yet that will be their future home. Will be starting that cycle and set up next week. My two angel fish, Althea and Marble are quite the charactors! They would eat alllllll day if I let them. They act like they are starving and yes, like yours.. these two will follow me around the room and when I come anywhere near the tank they go right to the surface! lol.. they really are so cute and a friendly fish to have! ;D
One Angel by itself should be fine not to say it may end up being an aggressor.. just have to watch out for any stressed fish. If your mollies start to hang out in the corners of the tank, could be that they are being bullied by the Angelfish. Guess it depends on how big your Angel fish is right now.
good luck with your fish and your community tank. Any photos to share?? ;D
