yesterday I added 6 angelfish to my 55 gallon aquarium. 5 angelfish are only about a inch in length. These ones are my concern. The other angelfish I bought is about 2 inches and is doing fine.
I bought two platinums and a panda from one store and two kois and a Smokey from a different store, attempting to pair them off with different genetics.
The two platinums seemed to clamp their back fins and hang out in a corner. I figured they were just stressed as they seemed very healthy at the store. Then the panda started doing it and now I’m thinking the store had sick fish. But today, the kois, bought from a different store is now doing it as well.
This fish tank was origanally stocked but the day before I got the angels I moved the smaller fish into a different tank to use the 55 gallon strictly for pairing angelfish. This tank has been set up for two years. There are loaches in this tank still. The two older angels I had in there have been moved and are currently breeding in my 33g.
I’m not sure what is going on. No white spots, the kois are active despite the clamped tail fins, but the others are huddling in a corner.
