Just wondering if anyone’s had success with this idea. They would be in a 45 gallon, if you guys are curious.

My half moon betta is in with a females whose partner recently died in a 30 gallon with pencilfish.

It could. Both Bettas and angels are aggressive species so as long as they both have room to make their own territory, you should be just fine.

We’ll see. I have a backup plan if things go south. The betta will be moved to his own tank for sure so he can be king by himself.

You have the right idea. Betta's each have their on personalities, so it might work. But be careful, and keep a close eye on them. My Betta there is no way I would try putting him with an Angel, there would be blood in the water......lol...:hungover:

So my story was strange. The setup was the juvenile angel being in a 10 gallon (temporarily!) and it just so happened that the 10 gallon was the bettas setup. Due to the betta hating the black angel he had to go in my 40 gallon. My sisters betta hated my black angel. He was friendly with my white angel though. (Had to remove the betta due to him hating the Corys.)
