I was wondering if a single angelfish and some corys could live in a 29 gallon. I have heard keeping a pair in a 29 is a little tight so I was wondering if one would work.

I would not put just 1 in there, go with 2 Angels and some corys
What do I do if they don't pair up?

I had my first 2 Angels 40 years ago in a 30 gallon with 1 SAE and the 2 Angels never paired up. They lived for 12-1/2 years. Yeah they had there little fights, but then again who doesnt

So even if they don't pair up they still should be fine?

Wow, those angels lived a long time.
I'll just hope for the best, and maybe they'll pair up.
