29 Gallon Tank Angel fish size question

I have a question, I bought both my angels at the same time, however the yellowish one was half the size of the other as in smaller now look it doesn't even look like the other is growing at all I couldn't find any of when I first got them.

 

It is hard to tell from the picture but a few comments: First females are usually significantly smaller than males. There is a wide variance in size of both males and females but a small female with a large male she will be about 1/2 to 2/3 the size. Of course a large female with a small male they will be nearly the same size. Conversely it could be a runt but from the picture I'm not sure that is the case here after all there are no clear pictures of the one that stopped growing. Last they could simply be different age. You don't know when they hatched.

 

Little marble colored fish seems to have oddly large eyes….

 

Yea I didn't want to say so but i also noted such. ReneaJordan what we are saying is that the marble is likely a runt. One of the sure sign of such are abnormally large eyes.

Don’t feel too bad, I figure about half the angelfish I see are stunted…straight from the breeder. Big eye, small body, didn’t get enough to eat as a kid.
