Angel fish dead

Came home today and my angelfish was lying dead on the stones at the bottom :'(, poor little fella, I blame the giant gourami stressing the poor fella and kept attacking it. It wasn't my fault these stupid fishkeepers just sold me them and didnt say they would attack each other, now I need to get this giant gourami back to the shop along with the shark fish before it attacks my guppies!.

I've read that gourami's and angels are compatible, but when I tried it I had the same problem... except Sparkle (my killer angel) killed the gourami...
In fact, thinking back I think the gourami was Sparkle's first murder victim.

I think a lot of the gourami varieties can be a bit aggresive. Dwarfs I have heard are more consistently peaceful.

It seems that gourami and angels are too territorial and end up in a conflict, winner take all. cichlids aren't really the best tank mates for air-labyrinth fish I think.

Shame, I'm sorry about that. :'( I have a gold and dwarf gourami along with angels, there's been no sign of aggression so far. Hope it stays like that!!

I have a tank with 4 gourami  and 1 angel...so far so good. Sorry to hear about you Angel, I lost 2 of them in the past few months (different tank). They are so pretty, but not so easy for me to keep alive.
