angel diet

I am working on expanding my angel's diet and have gotten some frozen bloodworms to supplement their normal flake food. Does anyone have any thoughts on how often to give them the bloodworms? Or does it really matter?

Angels love bloodworms! Supplement with as much variety as you can. Buy more than one type of flake food, and also add a veggie flake and/or wafers at least once a week. Mine get everything from spirulina to tubifex worms to veggie flakes to brine shrimp. Variety is the key!

OMG, when I drop in a small chunk of tubifex worms in the tank, it's like a feeding frenzy! Not only do my angels love it, my serpae tetra's go NUTS! Watching them it's easy to believe they're related to Piranha!

Thanks...I will be adding a few more options to their diet. I just wasn't sure how often to give them the bloodworms.

if it is live worms then once a week will be enough as they r high in protein; u can feed the dried worms everyday though.

I feed my Angels with as much variety as I can. One day I give them one kind of flakes, next day I give them blood worms, then I give them another kind of flakes, and then I give them brine shrimp and so on. I want to start feeding them with Omega fish foods too, only I have to order them online (Petsmart has them I think) as not many local fish stores carry this food, if any. It's great food for fish.
