I picked up 4 of these guys also. Brian
Are they geo or gymno's?
Absolutely not! Hard to believe I have something other than those though isn't it.......
Are they in the parachromis family?
Your stuck there in Parachromis land aren't you.
It's the whole body shape that's putting me there.
Look at the mouth, its ok I will lead you out of this land you are in......
Cichlasoma beani? Green Guapote? Same shaped mouth, looks like same finnage and body shape.
No and No. But I do have a buddy who has Beani who has been saying come get some........ too many choices and not enough room.......lol
Quetzal Cichlid? I'm narrowing down on the vieja family. Am I getting closer?
Nope not a Synspilus, not a Vieja.
Mercy I'm lost on this one. What am I missing here? I'm glad this isn't a :;toast game. I'd be a goner by now.
ok heres a clue... they look nothing like the Cubans.
Am I allowed to guess?? This one is a bit tougher though...
I'm gonna go with Paratheraps hartwegi? Sometimes classified under Vieja hartwegi.
And once again Matt has saved the day!! Yes very often they are wrongly called Vieja. But lets go with your first guess of Paratheraps Hartwegi.
Well done, Slug!:;toast Mercy, that was fun, though! Psst...Brian-you need to get the Beani's. Surely you can find room somewhere. They're gorgeous fish.
