I think anchor worm s can be pulled off fish with a pair of tweezers. But better to hear other opinions and research it a bit in the meantime.

I thought about that but I have over 30 chillI rasboras in a heavily planted tank.... Not gonna happen, plus I need to break their life cycle

Lol the link just goes to Google search, I've used it but most of what I found was either too general or talked about dips which won't work for this tank.

Oh thank you. I like that it won't kill my bb.

I've battled anchor worms a couple of times. The nasty worms blow out the side of the fish, and they have a "Y" shape on the end.

I used medication, Jungle I think, and it took care of them.

I also delt with anchor worms, they don't look like that, They have forked tails that stick out the side of the fish. I used Dimilin. You may need to put the fish in a hospital tank to save the inverts. With any treatment. The things in the picture are not anchor worms, but likely some external parasite. Sorry about your fish!

Ugh it would be easier to move the snails (some) and shrimp out. Ugh

Worms look like these
Hello. If it looks exactly like that in the picture, that's dermocystidium (or more commonly called 'dermosporidia'). Unfortunately we don't know much about this pathogen, and even its classification is uncertain, between protozoan and fungi. We're also not sure whether or not it causes actual harm, but anecdotal evidence indicates it is rather harmless.

That's interesting a I'm not sure I've noticed cysts, but I'll try looking.

Well, those long white worm-like things are the cysts. They are called tubular cysts because they look like, well, tubes. Those protrusions are how the spores are released into the water. Developing cysts grow under the skin and are not readily visible without a biopsy and a microscope.

On my chillI rasbora. And I've since noticed the cysts.

Oh well then maybe it's a blister that's around the white things, idk what this is
