Anacharis won’t stand up

I’ve had my anacharis planted in my tank for about 2 months and while it’s not rotting or melting, it won’t stand up! I have root tabs, fertilizer, good lighting, and healthy stratum and they’re still so droopy. I can provide more info if needed but I’m stumped! They’re green and healthy just flimsy

Could you attach a picture? That plant tends to do what it wants.

For sure! I know it looks clustered but they’re planted at minimum an inch apart from eachother, they’re just leaning over on eachother. Sorry for the state of my tank, I’m mid maintenance right now

I also had them more spread out in my other tank (same plants, transplanted then a week ago) and they never stood up either

I don't have a lot of experience with it, but as stated above it just does what it wants. If you want a plant that will be more upright you might want to try other stem plants like water wisteria, water sprite, or one of the bacopa or rotala species.

Gotcha! Any tips for not killing those? Thank you

I'm afraid not. I just got my first water sprite yesterday, but I've had the others for a while, and they just keep on growing and doing fine. I do fertilize with Easy Green once or twice per week.

Mine is will stretch forward and eventually pull out of the substrate. I have given up now. I just leave it floating and it sends roots down and attaches to the substrate. It's probably my only plant I have any success with besides duckweed. Grrrr.

When I had some the filter stream made them bend. The sponge filter made them bend towards it. I think they need dead still water almost to stand up straight.
