Amount Of Ghost Shrimp

I have a 5.5g tank with my betta and I currently have two ghosts shrimp with him. He doesn't mind them at all, I'm starting to feel like they're lonely even though they're paired, so I was thinking of getting 4 more ghost shrimp to put in. I was wondering if that may be too many shrimp or if that's just fine.

That would be fine, in my opinion. Shrimp have a really low bioload.

I have a 20Long tank and I normally purchase anywhere between 10 to 30 ghost shrimp at a time. They seem to do more cleaning than mess making. They also make a nice snack for your other residents if they get hungry between feedings (or if you go on vacation). I don't know if your betta would snack on them or not, but I don't see why you couldn't have 6 ghost shrimp in there.
