Ammoniated water will show on test with prime?

Water with ammonia in it, treated with double prime, will or will not show ammonia on a liquid "ammonia" test kit?

yes it will still show. prime does not remove ammonia, it just helps it stay in non-toxic NH4 form as opposed to NH3

The ammonia tests kits contain two reagents. The first one forces all of the ammonium ion into ammonia. The second reagent measures the ammonia concentration. Thus, no matter whether the water has ammonium ion or ammonia, it will test as ammonia. The ammonium ion is less toxic, but you still want a zero ammonia level.
