Tap Water

Day 1 August 26 - I put tap water to the tank and added (70ML) of API STRESS COAT , API STESS ZYME (3 CUPS) and API QUICK START (70ML)
that time I don't have any idea on bottled ammonia because the store where I purchased my API Products says that QUICK START will be my source of ammonia.

AMMONIA 1.0 PPM
NITRITE 0 PPM

Day 2 August 27 - lurking over the internet and found threads that I can use bottled ammonia as a source for my tank nitrogen cycle, because they say that not having ammonia in my tank will not start the cycling so I go to nearest drgg store and found bottled ammonia and decided to put (1ML) of it in my tank.

AMMONIA 1.0 PPM
NITRITE 0.50 PPM
NITRATE 0 PPM

Day 3 August 28 -

Did I make any mistakes in my cycling?
Why is my Nitrite is always dropping?
Do I need to Water Change to 10% 20% 30%?
Is my Ammonia still normal for the day that i cycle it?

LowConductivity

PH of your water, or even better, degrees of KH?

your bottled ammonia is surfactant (soap) free?

awilkinson871

I also wonder about your Ph. You should try to keep it above 7 in order to keep the cycle from stalling. Usually with cycling it takes about 3 weeks to start seeing nitrites and another 3 weeks to start seeing nitrates although using a bacteria starter can speed up these results.

Here’s my pH result, and i try to check my bottled ammonia about surfactant and I don’t know where i can find it. Do i need to buy kH tester to know if i have a better degrees?
pH 7.6 PPM

so what do you think about my pH level? Yeah i always dropping bacteria starter everyday

7.6 is good. It implies a reasonable amount of KH. That’s good.

take your bottle of ammonia and give it a good shake up. Soapy looking bubbles that remain on the surface are bad, bubbles that quickly dissipate are good.

No. If there’s no soap in your ammonia, 4ppm is good.

Thanks much i feel relieved now I thought i just destroyed my cycling for adding too much bacteria starter in my tank

so i just need to wait for ammonia to drop and convert to nitrite?

Yep. Hardest part of cycling….patience.
