So I just tested my water after one week and here are the results, I would much appreciate it if you guys could tell me if these are good or bad. It turns out I was testing the water incorrectly for the past couple of days as I hadn't read the instructions. Anyways, ammonia was around 1.0ppm, nitrite was showing close to 5.0ppm and nitrate was 20 (slightly darker). Any help is appreciated!!
    Thanks!

Hi Jamie, are you doing a fishless or fish in cycle? Those figures look good for only a week in, how are you adding ammonia to feed the bacteria colony?

For a week in that sounds about right.
