Ammonia Level Not Ideal. What Should I Do?

Ok I know test strips are bad. (I'll get the test kit soon) Anyway, on the jungle test strips it says the ammonia is between "safe" and "stress" It doesn't show ppm. Anyway, I'm worried about the ammonia levels. And I don't have any products to reduce/remove ammonia is there any at-home remedy I could use?

A water change.

My levels have been slightly higher than ideal with my goldfish and I have been doing a water change every week now, even if its just 15% its better than nothing and then every 3-4 weeks I do my 1/3 water change. I have a 75 gallon. Small water changes are better than chemicals in my opinion. I also make sure I add aquasafe and stability in the amount needed for what I take out and replace back in.

If you have gravel, vacuuming it may help. There may be a build up of fish and uneaten food that could be causing your ammonia to rise.

I do 50% water changes once a week on all my tanks, all of them are currently understocked.
