So my 7.5gal tank has been set up for 2 weeks now. ive been doing a fish in cycle with daily water changes and my nitrate is around 0-5ppm nitrite is at 0 and my ammonia is still around .5-.25ppm depending on how long ago i did my water change. i had a very small nitrite spike at like day 5 then i got up to 10ppm on my nitrate on day 7. but now all i have is ammonia it seems like my bacteria isnt growing! i have bio filter media and everything.. should i get some bacteria additives or TSS or something?

TSS would definitely be gentler on the fish. Cycling like you are can take a month or more.

When I did a fish in cycle with my first tank (before discovering FishLore) I followed PetSmart's directions and just dumped 4 Danio's in the tank and waited for it to cycle. (no water changes, no Prime).

It took me 3weeks to get thru the ammonia phase and another 3 weeks to get thru the nitrite phase. Doing a fish in cycle correctly (like you are doing) can slow the process down.

So if you are getting too impatient, you could add a bottle of SafeStart.
