Amazon Sword Splitting

HI new to the forum and also planted tanks, not new to fishkeeping though. I did the mistake of doing no research before jumping in to a planted tank lol. Anyway I planted a few Amazon sword all of them died apart from one that is now quite big and has split off to form two plants unfortunately I this one is to the far right of the tank and is up against the glass I think that is maybe why it split in two so I was wondering if I can split the plant so I can replant in the centre? And is there any particular way of doing it? Thanks for any advice given

 

You can split it. Just be mindful of the roots. I've gotten 2 plants out of 1 doing this. Also make sure to cut away any dead or wilting leaves to maximize growth

Remember to feed your plants. Amazons are heavy root feeders as well as leaf feeders.

 

Swords propagate by growing runners with baby plants on it (usually 3-6), not splitting the crown. If you do split it, trim the roots before planting again. You should use root tabs or they will not do too well.

Thanks for the advice guys really appreciate it. I will attempt at some point to split it just hope I don't kill it it's such a beautiful plant.
