Amazon sword help

TeddyHickmott

Hi,
Recently, my amazon sword has begun to go a yellowy/brown colour. Many of the leaves are beginning to die off, as well as being some being covered by what looks to be a brown algae type thing. I do not have co2. Would anyone know what may be wrong with the plant, as well as how I go about fixing the problem?
Many thanks, Teddy.

Hi Teddy! Welcome!

The way to get the best answers about any questions you have is to give as much information up front as possible. For example, things that come to mind:
- what are some of the nutrient levels of the water (phosphate, nitrate especially)?
- what is your lighting schedule like?
- what model/brand light, what kind of substrate?
- what kind of substrate is your plant in?
- do you use any fertilizers and if so, how often?
- how long have you had the plant, how long have you been having this problem (define "begun")?

You may or may not have all these answers. I have just noticed, personally, when my questions have a lot of details, I usually end up getting more comprehensive answers.
