Amano shrimp imposter(s)? Or true amano?

HI all!

So, let me explain my current situation.

A few months ago, I bought some shrimp advertised as Amano shrimp from my local petco (yes yes I know know, chain stores suck. unfortunately I live in a rural-ish area and this is the only place that sells shrimp) and they have been a joy to keep. But, from other posts, some people said that my amanos...dont look like amanos. I didn't think much of it, until yesterday.

Two of my "amano's" are berried. Like full on have a bunch of black eggs. Which, is another weird thing, as from what I've seen online, Amano shrimp eggs are yellow / orange / milky white.

Here are some pictures. One "amano" is dark (due to making his favorite grazing spot on the dark wood pictured, I assumed hes dark due to eating that) with yellow eggs (really really small eggs), one is clear with very dark eggs.

(Also, please ignore the algae in the corner! I just cleaned that up after taking pictures. I promise my tank is a good tank!)

So, does anyone have any idea what shrimp I have?

I swear my tank isn't dirty, I had to get rid of my magnetic scrubber (long and upsetting story to that one) and will be picking up a hand scrubber this weekend to get rid of the small brown diatoms in the corners of the tank (or I will get a nerite snail)

They look like amanos to me - brown with a yellowish stripe down the back.
Are you sure the dark one is berried? We thought the same of one of ours but its belly has never changed - so it looks like just its colouration. Another is similar but opaque white!

Assuming ours are all amanos that is - I'm sometimes not so sure!

I am pretty sure! The two pregnant ones had clear bellies until 2-3 days ago, so I don't think its a coloration change. Plus I can see the little itty bitty eggs when they fan their tails. Interesting! I do have one clearish shrimp that looks like a ghost shrimp, with amano stripes near the head, with no yellow stripe and is definitely not a whisker shrimp. I wonder what he is too. Well either in 2-3 weeks ill have tons of babies or none lol

Here is a better picture of one of the pregnant shrimp!

I have 3 amanos—they look like amanos to me. The eggs start out kind of darkish-jellylike and change to a light color as she gets closer to dropping them.

The larvae do not survive in freshwater.

Oh! That would make more sense. This is a freshwater tank though- the eggs won't hatch, will they? I would LOVE tons of babies!!

There's a fair amount online about raising baby amanos but none kooks easy! The larvae don't tolerate fresh water (they need brackish and salty) and the adults don't tolerate salt - go figure!

They'll hatch but the larvae won't last for more than a week.
