Amano Shrimp behavior

Ive just completed cycling a new set-up. Everything is good except for the usual algae types that show up. I added nerite snails a couple of days ago. All went well and they are definitely algae eating machines. Today I added amano shrimp. I'm not sure what behavior to expect when they are first added. I guess I expected them to start eating, which the nerites did almost immediately but instead they are just running around non stop in the tank. As far as I can tell there is no water problem. Its a heavily planted tank with 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, and 5 nitrates and the ph is about 7.4. I'm not sure if there behavior is normal or if there is something they aren't liking about the tank. Any ideas?

How did you acclimate the shrimps? When the parameter fluctuates too much, the shrimps will be swimming around non-stop until they got used to the new parameter if it is the case.

I drip acclimated them for about an hour and a half

In this case, Maybe they are just exploring their new home. See if they settle down tomorrow or not. After they get used to their new environment, most of them should be grazing on surfaces, and a few may swim around once in a while.

What are your parameters shrimp need stable water parameters to be successful. Drip was good, but it’s only a start. Also, shrimp need to go in a well established tank, I don’t add shrimp to a new tank for 2-4 months after cycled. Other go shorter time like 4-6 weeks.
